WE GOT NURSING! 

I am trying to catch up from a busy couple of weeks. I have started back teaching and LOVE it! Thankfully,  DMA overruled their decision for Talynn’s skilled nursing. Talynn is well taken care of which has allowed me to return to work teaching 4th grade math and science.

WE GOT HELP!

Talynn is blessed to have amazing nurses, therapist, and grandparents who make sure she is still able to develop to her fullest abilities.  Her nurses work with her on skills. Her therapists come about once a week to help her and give the nurses ideas on how they can also continue to help. Her Mimi and PopPop make sure that she gets to physical therapy in Virginia every Thursday. Talynn could not do what she does if it wasn’t for you all!

WE GOT SUPPORT!

Over the summer, some of our friends and church family hosted two fundraising events for Talynn and our family.  The first was the Benefit Hunt for The Gurganus Family. This event took place at Fox Tales Fox Preserve. Talynn’s dad, Chad, loves hunting and it was amazing to see all of his hunting buddies come out and support him and his family. The second was the Benefit Dinner for Talynn Gurganus. Our wonderful church family (Sandy Cross Baptist Church) hosted this dinner for Talynn. We cannot thank everyone enough who has shown support for our family. We appreciate all the prayers that you continue to give!

WE MET FAMILY! 

We were able to go to Philadelphia, PA and meet 13 other BOS families! This was a wonderful experience. Families from Massachusetts, New York, Ohio, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, New Jersey, Delaware, and Pennsylvania were all able to meet one another for the first time. We enjoyed the company and cannot wait for next years meet-up!
