About Taylor Gurganus:
Hi! I hope you enjoy reading my blogs and learning more about what life is like living with Bohring-Opitz Syndrome. Please feel free to send me an email with any questions or comments you may have. I love sharing what I know and appreciate any suggestions you have.
Here is a brief bio about me: I am a mother of two girls, Talynn and Tinlee, and wife to Chad Gurganus. I teach 4th grade math and science at Gates County Public Schools. I have pushed to raise more awareness for Talynn and BOS. I am the Co-founder and Vice Chair for the Bohring-Opitz Syndrome Foundation.
Talynn turned three in January 2017. She was diagnosed with Bohring-Opitz Syndrome right before her first birthday. Tinlee is the little sister who was born in November 2015. Both of the girls are loving, happy, and a true blessing. They have taught me how to become an advocate, nurse, teacher, physical therapist, respiratory therapist, dietitian, and most of all a MOM! The title MOM has a whole new meaning when your child has been diagnosed with a rare genetic syndrome!
I am writing this blog to help raise awareness for this syndrome and to let others know what it is like walking in this journey!
